Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter with Bus Travel from London Victoria
London
Get the most sought-after tickets and immerse yourself in the unforgettable Warner Bros. Studio Tour London. Explore stunning sets, iconic props, and witness the extraordinary craftsmanship and talent behind the making of these legendary films.
Your journey into the Wizarding World starts where Harry’s did — in the cupboard under the stairs. Following an introductory video with familiar characters, you’ll step into the Great Hall, where you can admire the real costumes and wigs worn by key cast members.
The Sets
From the Great Hall enter the Forbidden Forest. Other iconic sets include Platform 9¾, with the Hogwarts Express and possibly the most exciting one- Diagon Alley, home to the dusty Ollivanders Wand Shop.
The Animatronics
Discover the terrifying Basilisk that lived within The Chamber of Secrets. Created with a mix of practical and visual effects. You’ll also see Buckbeak the Hippogriff, one of the books most loved creatures.
The Art Department
During your tour, you’ll encounter the stunning Hogwarts Castle model. A team of 86 artists and crew members created the first version, which was then enhanced with digital effects to produce the iconic, lifelike views of the school. Every detail, from potion textbooks and acceptance letters to sweet wrappers and the Daily Prophet, was meticulously hand-designed and crafted. Even the potion bottles were individually hand-illustrated.
The Props
The sheer number of original props at the Studios is truly remarkable! In the Potions Classroom, you'll find more than 950 potion jars, each with its own distinct contents, while Professor Dumbledore's office features 900 memory vials and labels. Did you know that more than 130 plates were specially created to adorn the vividly pink office of everyone’s least favorite teacher, Professor Umbridge?
The Special Effects
Many fans might be surprised to learn that some of their favorite special effects were actually real! The slithering door to the Chamber of Secrets, often thought to be a visual effect, is actually a fully functional door. The same goes for the remarkably detailed Gringotts bank door.
As you can imagine, green screen played a huge part in creating the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Why not hop onto a broom yourself and try your hand at the magical game?
Make sure you re-fuel with a tasty butter beer, just like Harry, Ron and Hermione would have done in the Leaky Cauldron and visit the incredible gift shop!
