Discover the extraordinary at London Wetland Centre and step autumn’s most spectacular show, full of awe-inspiring nature, uplifting moments and seasonal beauty. Just a short 15-minute walk from Barnes rail station this hidden gem along the River Thames, promises an exhilarating escape from the City.
The centre offers events for all ages, from hands-on workshops to family activities, there's always something exciting to discover! Including your chance to explore the super natural this October half term (26th October – 3rd November) and discover family-friendly activities that show just how super wetland nature can be. Weave a willow wand, head off on a fungi hunt, craft a clay familiar and much more in a week of wetlands magic.
Plus, don’t miss the otters! Watch them swim and splash, and meet them at one of the daily talks. Whatever your perfect day out, come and soak up the splendour of our wetlands and create unforgettable moments with your loved ones this autumn.

General & Ticket Information
- Food and drink: The café opens at 10:00 a.m.; the last orders are half an hour before the centre closes. Hot food (lunch service) is available from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Accessibility: The site has accessible paths and hides, and have mobility scooters and wheelchairs available for hire
- Dogs: Unfortunately, London Wetland Centre can't allow dogs or pets of any kind on-site, apart from Assistance dogs (trained by member organisations of ADUK) on duty, as the wildlife may become distressed.
- Free car parking on site. Electrical Charges and reserved bays for disabled visitors are available.
- There are bicycle racks at the main carpark, but padlocks are not provided. Bicycles, tricycles, roller skates, skateboards, and scooters are not allowed in the centre.
- Free entry for Children (under 4) and carers accompanying visitors with disabilities*. *Please note: Valid proof will be required for all concessions and memberships
- Anyone under the age of 17 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
- WWT London reserves the right to cancel an event due to unforeseen circumstances, including low numbers, inclement weather, etc.
- Admission tickets to WWT London Wetland Centre do not include specific event/ activities tickets unless specified. Please purchase WWT London events tickets separately
- Otter talks take place every day at 11am & 2pm
- Saving based off walk up rate and potential booking fees.
- Picniq accept all debit cards, Maestro, Visa and Mastercard as methods of payment. There is no credit card charge or booking fee.
- Online bookings are limited to a maximum of 12 visitors.
- Tickets purchased through Picniq are not refundable. The date of the visit can be amended for a fee of £10 per booking. Terms and conditions apply.

By Bus: Buses from Barnes rail station, Putney Bridge and Hammersmith tube stations stop at the Red Lion Pub on Castlenau, just 5 minute walk to the Centre.
The following buses pass through Barnes:

• 419 George Street – Norley Vale
• 485 Lonsdale Road – The Wetlands Centre
• 533 Hammersmith Bus Station – Lonsdale Road

By Train: Barnes and Barnes Bridge stations (15 min walk)
By tube: Hammersmith and Putney Bridge Stations (25 min walk)
Open 7 days a week, 364 days a year - opening times vary throughout the year, to make the most of the seasonal wildlife:
• April – October: from 10.00 am to 5:30 pm
• November – February: from 10.00 am to 4:30 pm
The last admission is one hour before closing.
