General Information

• Children under 18 enter free but do require a ticket.
• There is very limited parking available near the Museum. Spaces are charged at £4.90 per hour, with a maximum stay of around 4 hours.

Accessibility

• A ticket-holding disabled guest can be issued a free companion ticket upon presentation of relevant documentation.
• The Museum is wheelchair-accessible with lifts to all levels. There are ramps in some areas and not all of vehicles are accessible.
• Wheelchairs are available for use on a first come, first served basis.
• Wheelchair-accessible restrooms are available on the ground floor.

Baby Facilities

• Baby changing facilities are available in both male and female restrooms.
• Breastfeeding is welcomed at the Museum. If you prefer privacy, there is a baby feeding room on the ground floor.
• The Museum is buggy-accessible. If preferred, you can leave your buggy in the buggy park at the Museum entrance.

Other Facilities

• Coats and bags can be left free of charge in the cloakroom.
• The Upper Deck Cafe (closed from Friday 16 August until early October 2019 for refurbishment) offers a wide range of hot and cold meals and drinks. The Lower Deck Ice Cream Café offers hot and cold drinks and light refreshments including sandwiches, snacks, cakes and ice cream.
• Picnics are welcome during school holidays and at weekends and can be eaten at the Lower Deck cafe bar on the ground floor.
• Use your 10% off voucher in the London Transport Museum shop which offers a wide range of clothes, posters, toys and stylish homeware.

Booking and Ticket Information

• When you buy online you will receive an email containing your ticket. Please download and your ticket and present it at the London Transport Museum on the day of your visit. Printed tickets also accepted.
• Tickets include day admission to the museum plus 20% off guidebook vouchers and 10% off vouchers for use in the gift shop.
• Children under 18 enter free but do require a ticket.
• Tickets are available to purchase online up to 11.45pm the day before the intended visit.
• Picniq accept all debit cards, Maestro, Visa and Mastercard as methods of payment. There is no credit card charge or booking fee.
• Online bookings are limited to a maximum of 12 visitors.
• Tickets purchased through Picniq are not refundable. The date of the visit can be amended for a fee of £10 per booking. Terms and conditions apply.

The closest bus stops to the Museum are Strand or Aldwych (RV1, 9, 11, 13, 15, 23, 139).

By Tube / Train
The closest Underground stations to the Museum are Covent Garden (2 minutes), Leicester Square (4 minutes), Holborn (5 minutes), Charing Cross (7 minutes) and Embankment (8 minutes).
The closest rail stations are Charing Cross and Waterloo.

By Boat
Embankment Pier is the closest pier to the museum, a 10-minute walk away.

The London Transport Museum is open daily from 10am to 6pm (last entry is at 5.15pm).
