See the London Underground as it was 100 years ago on this guided tour of a fully disused tube station that has sat still for over 30 years. An expert will take you through the tunnels and platforms to uncover rich history revealed through architectural treasures, fascinating history, and the surprising roles the station played over the years.
Spot decades-old advertising posters frozen in time since they were last seen by commuters and experience the eerie atmosphere of a deserted time capsule in the heart of Central London. No trains and no passengers, this is the London Underground like you've never seen it before!
Retrace the steps of passengers from over a century ago in the turn-of-the-century ticket hall, step into the original 1907 lifts, and admire vintage tiles and signs dotted throughout the station. This immersive tour allows you to experience life 100 years ago, as well as step foot in the site of various filming locations including Sherlock, Luther: The Fallen Sun, Mr Selfridge, 28 Weeks Later, and Netflix’s Bodies.
Learn all about how the station served as an air raid shelter during both World-Wars, protecting the city's residents and various valuable artworks.
All of this and so much more awaits on this intimate tour of London through the eyes of one station.
