Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest inhabited castle in the world! It has been the family home of British kings and queens for almost 1,000 years offering an extraordinarily rich and varied day out!
Follow a family activity trail to learn more about the Castle, its history and its magnificent treasures. For children aged 7-11 years, we also recommend taking the free family multimedia tour. Collect your handset and listen to Horace, a timeless tutor, and Tommy, his pupil, who are your guides. They introduce you to the many magical characters who live at Windsor Castle, including Gilbert the Grotesque and Cyril, a Page of the Back Stairs.
Windsor Castle is open Thursday through to Monday each week.

Your ticket includes:
General admission in to Windsor Castle
- Picniq accepts all debit cards, Maestro, Visa and Mastercard as methods of payment. There is no credit card charge or booking fee.
- eTickets purchased through Picniq are not refundable. The date of the visit can be amended for a fee of £10, subject to availability. Terms and conditions apply.
- eTickets can be purchased online up to 11.45pm 2 days before the intended visit.
- You will need to print and present your eTicket upon arrival. Each eTicket is valid only on the date stated on the eTicket. Digital / Smartphone version will not be accepted.
- Please note that admission to Windsor Castle is busiest immediately after opening and throughout the morning. We recommend you arrive after midday if possible.
- Entrance to the State Apartments and Queen Mary's Dolls' House closes 30minutes after the last admission time.
- As a working royal residence, sometimes the entire Castle or the State Apartments within the Castle may close at short notice. Please check Royal Collection Trust's website for closure dates.
- Please note the ticket is for a one day visit not an annual pass.

By car: There is no visitor car parking at the Castle, so visitors are advised to use public car parks in the town centre. Details about parking can be found onwww.windsor.gov.uk.
By train: Windsor& Eton Central or Windsor& Eton Riverside. VisitNational Rail Enquiriesfor times and fares.
By coach / bus: Green Line operates daily services from Victoria Coach Station, London.
