As one of the county’s leading attractions and the only museum dedicated to English football, Manchester's National Football Museum is a must-see destination! With 4 galleries to explore, 6 interactive games, an exciting programme of exhibitions and events plus a gift shop and cafe, there’s something for everybody to enjoy whether you're a die-hard football fan or just looking to learn more about the sport.

Each of the 4 galleries offers something different for all kinds of football fans! Make your way through each one on an interactive educational journey through the history and legacy of the beloved sport.

Pitch Gallery

Kick off your visit by snapping a photo taken with iconic football silverware including official replicas of the Premier League and Women’s Super League trophies Alongside George Best’s Mini Cooper, this space also hosts a programme of special exhibitions and workshops. 

The Match Gallery

This special gallery is the largest display space within the museum and is home to many significant and rare items! Discover connected stories of the game, from the formation of the world’s first football association and the founding of the FA Cup, through to the national side’s performances on the world stage. You'll learn all about the original ‘Laws of the Game’, see the oldest surviving FA Cup trophy, the First Division trophy, a 1966 Jules Rimet Trophy replica and match ball, and a Lily Parr statue

Play Gallery

This space focuses on the fascinating details of the sport and its impact on popular culture. This is a great space for little ones to explore the museum with interactive games and a junior Discovery Zone space. Enjoy the Penalty Shootout, Pass Master and Shot Stopper games, explore the Discovery Zone, see the LMA Manager of the Year trophy, and unpack the history of footballs!

Score Gallery

The Score Gallery space is dedicated to a programme of special exhibitions, so keep an eye out for announcements! The gallery currently features MARKERS, an exhibition featuring nine football heroes represented by specially commissioned pieces of street art.

• Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
• Dogs will not be admitted (except assistance dogs).
• Back packs and large bags/suitcases are not permitted to be carried within the Museum. Storage is not available.
• Picniq accept all debit cards, Maestro, Visa and Mastercard as methods of payment. There is no credit card charge or booking fee.
• Online bookings are limited to a maximum of 12 visitors.
• Tickets purchased through Picniq are not refundable. The date of the visit can be amended for a fee of £10 per booking. Terms and conditions apply.
