Enjoy adventures across the 500 acres of parkland, explore the three stunning gardens, and have a peaceful walk beside the streams, rivers, and the moat where you can have a relaxing trip on the Black Swan Ferry.
Uncover the feminine history of Leeds Castle, beginning with the Medieval and Tudor Queens in the cinematic experience, ‘Queens with Means’ as you learn about the queens through a visual journey. Then discover Lady Baillie’s 1930s country house, and how this glamorous owner transformed the castle in the 1930s with her dazzling house parties.
Let the children’s imaginations run wild at the Knights’ stronghold playground, an impressive medieval-themed playground with a castle tower, tunnels, climbing frames, and many exciting structures. There’s also the Squires’ Courtyard Playground for under 6s and the Castle Kids Obstacle Course which will have them climbing, crawling, and swinging across the space for hours.
Make sure you enter the famous Leeds Maze & Grotto, built with 2,400 yew trees, at the centre you’ll enter a mythical underground grotto as you continue your magical journey to the exit.
Included with admission is the stunning Birds of Prey Centre, where you will meet different species in their aviaries and as they fly across the weathering grounds in the Bird of Prey display.

General Information
- Assistance dogs are allowed, however, due to the abundance of wildfowl wandering freely across the estate, we regret that other dogs cannot be admitted.
- Due to space restrictions, pushchairs cannot be permitted inside the Castle or Castle View Restaurant, however, there is a buggy park provided.
- Leeds Castle does not allow wheel-based toys, scooters and bikes into the grounds. However, controlled ‘Smart Trikes’ for toddlers are still welcome.
- All barbeques (disposable and non-disposable) are not permitted anywhere within the estate of Leeds Castle.
Booking and Ticket Information
- When you buy online you will receive an email containing your ticket. Please present on your smart phone on arrival on the day of your visit, alternatively you can print and bring with you.
- On arrival you will be given your annual pass tickets.
- Children under 3 go free.
- Saving based off walk up rate.
- Leeds Castle admission tickets are valid for 12 months from the day you select when booking. You do not necessarily need to visit on the day you select, but your ticket will be valid from that day onwards and you can visit any day thereafter (excluding estate closures).
- Picniq accept all debit cards, Maestro, Visa and Mastercard as methods of payment. There is no credit card charge or booking fee.
- Online bookings are limited to a maximum of 12 visitors.
- Tickets purchased through Picniq are not refundable. The date of the visit can be amended for a fee of £10 per booking. Terms and conditions apply.

Directions
Address: Leeds Castle, Broomfield, Maidstone ME17 1PL
Road: 7 miles east of Maidstone, Junction 8 of the M20 motorway just 1 hour from London, 30 minutes from the Channel Tunnel and Channel Ports. Clearly sign posted from all routes – following the brown and white tourist signs.
Dartford River Crossing is 30 minutes

Rail: Southeastern runs frequent services to Bearsted and Hollingbourne stations
Bus: The 10X Bus Route operated by Stagecoach bus is offering a £2 single fair until 31st October 2023, from Ashford to Maidstone, which stops off at the roundabout on the A20. This is a couple of minutes walk from the main entrance of Leeds Castle.
