Set in 100-acres of lush green ancient parkland, Howletts works hand-in-hand with The Aspinall Foundation, a world-leading charity dedicated to the conservation, breeding and re-introduction of endangered animals. Your ticket directly helps protect the huge range of wildlife you'll see on your visit, including tigers, leopards, gorillas, lemurs, rhinos and many more rare and endangered species.
In Animals of the Ice Age you'll discover a world lost in time with the life size prehistoric creatures inhabiting the Woodland Walk. Encounter the mighty mammoth, giant prehistoric sloth, savage sabre-toothed Smilodon, and many more!
Walking with Lemurs gives visitors the chance to walk alongside lively, playful lemurs in their natural leafy enclosure as they explore the treetops overhead.
There's plenty for families of all ages to enjoy at Howletts. Explore wooded pathways and the fun play area, watch the animals being fed and join in with fascinating free animal talks - all included with your entry ticket!

There is plenty of on-site parking available.
Accessibility:
A ticket-holding disabled guest can be issued a concessionary rate carer ticket upon presentation of relevant documentation.
The terrain is generally flat tarmac paths with a few gentle slopes. There is a slight slope into the gatehouse at the entrance to the park. The park is bisected by a relatively steep slope. Help is available for wheelchair users - please ask a member of staff.
Designated disabled parking is located next to the Gatehouse and entrance to the park on a concrete surface.
Wheelchairs are available for hire from the Gatehouse.
Disabled toilets and baby changing facilities are available throughout the park.
Assistance dogs are not permitted in the park.

There is a café, restaurant and seasonal kiosks on site serving a range of hot and cold meals, snacks and drinks.
Booking and Ticket Information :
When you buy online you will receive an email containing your ticket. Please show your e-ticket on your smartphone or print your ticket and present it at Howletts gatehouse on the day of your visit.
Children under the age of 3 gain entry free of charge and do not need a ticket.

Howletts Wild Animal Park is in the South East corner of Kent and lies just off the A2 past Canterbury. It is also a short distance from Folkestone and the southern coast of England

Summer (April - Oct) - 9:30am to 6:00pm. Last admission 4:30pm.
Winter season begins on Monday 20th November. During this time the Park is open 10am-4pm on Friday-Sundays and school holiday dates only. Howletts will reopen 7 days a week for the spring season on Friday 29th March 2024.
On Christmas Eve - 9:30am to 2pm. Last admission 11:30pm.On Boxing Day - 10:30 to 5pm. Last admission 3pm.
