This unique opportunity allows you to experience a flight like no other, as you board an impressive hovercraft and learn from the pilot how these incredible modes of transport work.

The Hovercraft Experience will include mind-blowing 360 degree turns, deflating the skirt to sit on the water to float like a boat and demonstration of the unique maneuverability of hovercraft all accompanied by expert commentary from a hovercraft pilot, you'll be an expert by the end of the experience!

You'll start your journey in Southsea at Hovertravel’s Southsea terminal, and make the journey across the water learning all about the fastest service between Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight.

The 1 hour experience will give you a behind the scenes look at the world's longest operational hovercraft service. There will be a chance to meet the Pilots and Crew who fly across the Solent. You will learn how these wonderful machines work and see them in service with a unique twenty-minute hovercraft demonstration, before landing safely back on the ground at Southsea!

Please arrive in plenty of time for your departure time.
If you miss your flight, no refunds will be available.
Bad weather may cause the Experience to be cancelled, you will be offered to move your experience to another date. We will endeavor to let you know as soon as we can if the experience is cancelled.

All experiences start at Hovertravel’s Southsea terminal. If travelling by vehicle follow the signs for Isle of Wight ferries, Seafront and Historic Waterfront. From here on, follow the signs for the Hovercraft. The (council run) car park is located opposite the terminal.
