Trust Pilot Reviews

At Cheddar Gorge explore stunning stalactite caverns and see the dramatic cliffs which rise 450ft above the ground. There are two very different caves to explore, a museum, cliff top walk and lookout tower! Gough’s Cave is Britain’s largest stalactite cavern. As you look at the amazing surroundings listen to the audio guides to learn about the story of the ‘Cheddar man’ who once inhabited the caves. In Cox’s Cave watch the spectacular multi media experience including visual and sound effects, which detail the history of early man.

The Cheddar Man Museum of Prehistory exhibits artefacts for the Ice Age and details how our ancestors survived. During summer months there are hands on activities including ‘cave’ painting and fire making which children will enjoy.

The cliff top walk is 3 miles long and features views of the spectacular scenery. A perfect spot for a picnic!

*Please note Picniq feel that the multimedia presentation in Cox’s Cave is best suited to slightly older children of 8yrs+.
