Compete against family members and enter a racing video game in real life at this brand-new attraction in Manchester!

Chaos Karts is the ultimate destination for the perfect family fun day out. These immersive-themed race circuits will transport you and your family into a virtual world, where you’ll race through space, sea, and sky to overcome obstacles whilst dodging weapons fired at you by other drivers. It is the UK’s first live-action racing experience and will make you feel like you’re inside an arcade game!

Suitable for ages 9 and over, climb into your state-of-the-art kart and race around the projected virtual tracks while collecting jewels and power-ups to gain points. The player with the most points at the end of the round wins! You get to enjoy multiple rounds; therefore, the ultimate winner is the one who has won the most games and is at the top of the leaderboard (of course, it will be you!).

There are various fun power-ups to retrieve, such as the laser gun, which will blast your opponents, the hammer,

which will wipe out other players from your path; and a speed boost, which gives you an oompf to overcome other racers. Memories will be created as the little ones blast their way past the adults with these fun and competitive elements of the game.

Chaos Karts uses state-of-the-art technology to enhance your experience, ensuring that all the karts produce real-life sensations and reactions so that you are immersed in the thrill of the game. Every race varies in design, music and power-ups, allowing you to battle until the finish line.

There are no physical obstacles on the track, so anti-collision technology, helmets and driving suits are not required. This ensures Chaos Karts is a fun-fuelled experience for everyone above 9.

This brand-new attraction was launched in September 2023 and is set to be one of the biggest attractions of 2023 – book now and be one of the first to try out this immense experience.

Important Information

General Information

You must be at least 11 years old and be 5ft/1.5m tall to play.
If you are under the age of 18 you must be accompanied by an adult. This adult does not have to play but must book a companion ticket via the Pit Crew by emailing [email protected]
Each session is for up to 8 players
All karts have anti-collision technology which means no helmets and no smelly overalls.
No high heels or open toed shoes, scarves or loose flowing clothing and you'll need to tie up long hair.
You should expect to be at the venue for 60-75 minutes, including check-in, pre-play activities, briefing, game-time, debrief and scores
Chaos Karts aren't built for passengers, so, unfortunately Chaos Karts cannot allow people at any stage of pregnancy to play, including those who were not pregnant at the time of booking.
For your own safety you will not be able to play if you: Have Epilepsy, Have a weak back and/or neck condition, Are unable to use both legs and one arm, Have consumed alcohol or illegal substances prior to playing
A waiver will be signed by all customers before participation.
Bring along your phones and cameras to make some memories of your time at Chaos Karts. You will need both hands on the wheel to play, so you can't take them onto the track but there are plenty of opportunities for a quick snap or two!

Booking and Ticket Information

Picniq accept all debit cards, Maestro, Visa and Mastercard as methods of payment. There is no credit card charge or booking fee.
Online bookings are limited to a maximum of 12 visitors.
Tickets purchased through Picniq are not refundable. The date of the visit can be amended for a fee of £10 per booking. Terms and conditions apply.

Chaos Karts is located in Manchester City Centre, and its easy to get to us by bus, tram, train bike or car.

To get to Chaos Karts by MetroLink (Greater Manchester Tram Network), the nearest Metrolink stop is Deansgate–Castlefield, which is serviced by all trams except for the Bury to Piccadilly line. Deansgate–Castlefield tram stop is 10 minutes' walk away.

Chaos Karts is closest to Deansgate station, a 10-minute walk away. Chaos Karts is also 15 minutes on foot from Manchester Oxford Road, 25 minutes from Manchester Victoria, and 30 minutes from Manchester Piccadilly stations.
