Buckingham Palace, is one of the few working royal palaces remaining in the world today! Although in use for official events and receptions, some areas of Buckingham Palace are open to visitors. Here, you and your family can enjoy dressing up as footmen in specially created livery at The Royal Mews or completing a variety of fun family activities together at The King's Gallery.

Did you know? Buckingham Palace has 775 rooms. These include 19 State rooms, 52 Royal and guest bedrooms, 188 staff bedrooms, 92 offices and 78 bathrooms!

During your visit to the palace, choose from The King's Gallery, or The Royal Mews, or both!

The King's Gallery stands on the site of a private chapel for Queen Victoria, which was destroyed in an air raid in 1940. At the suggestion of The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh, it was redeveloped as a gallery for the Royal Collection and today is home to changing exhibitions.

At The Royal Mews you can experience what it feels like to step into a royal carriage! The Mews is one of the finest working stables in existence and is responsible for the training of the horses that pull the Royal Carriages, some of which can be seen during your visit.
