Whether you're looking for thrilling rides or family attractions and shows, Alton Towers Resort has it all. With entertainment and adventure at every twist and turn, including record-breaking rides for adults and older kids, and the UK's only CBeebies Land for the younger ones, here's a flavour of what you can expect when you visit.
When it comes to fun for families, CBeebies Land is full of rides, attractions and shows for your little ones to learn, play, and let their imaginations run wild. They'll be able to meet all their favourite CBeebies characters, including collecting their Big Adventure Badge from Hey Duggee, joining Andy's Adventures Dinosaur Dig, visiting JoJo & Gran Gran's house, riding the Go Jetters Vroomster Zoom Ride, seeing the Octonauts on their Rollercoaster Adventure, Hippity Hop with Peter Rabbit, and deliver letters with Postman Pat. Plus, there are specially selected rides, including Gangsta Granny: The Ride.
CBeebies Land also plays host to a number of entertaining shows -they'll be able to rock-a-doodle-do with The Furchester Hotel Live, play along with the Teletubbies for their interactive Big Band Show, prepare for a fun packed day with Bing Live, and uncover clues and search for the mystery DJ with Hey Duggee Live.
And for older kids and adults, there's loads of rides that will test your bravery and have you grinning from ear to ear. For an experience that will test the most fearless visitors, The Curse at Alton Manor - a brand new ride for 2023 - will take you on a twisted journey of hair-raising excitement. Go for a whirl on The Smiler, the world's first 14-loop rollercoaster, or drop-in with Oblivion for even more excitement. Check out the world's most immersive rollercoaster to date with Wicker Man or hold on tight as you ride the Runaway Mine Train. Other iconic rides include Nemesis Reborn, Congo River Rapids, The Blade, Galactica, Thi3teen, Rita and lots more.
And of course, all that fun will have those bellies rumbling. So, with dining options like the Woodcutters Bar & Grill, Rollercoaster Restaurant, Explorers Pizza Pasta Buffet, and The Burger Kitchen and lots of other snacky outlets, you'll be spoilt for choice.

Essential Companion ticket ( Carer Ticket )
Essential companion tickets are no longer pre-booked , They are now collected on arrival from the Ticket Sales & Collections desk with suitable photo ID of the named recipient and one of the following accepted documents.
Accepted documentation for Essential Companion tickets
- Entitlement to Disability Living Allowance for children under 16 or DLA/Personal Independent Payments (PIP) for those aged 16-64, either in the form of a letter stating that the benefit has been awarded, or the actual Allowance book.
- Attendance Allowance or Essential Companion's Allowance letter of award.
- Incapacity Benefit books, or a letter notifying the recipient that the benefit has been awarded Incapacity Benefit, Employment Support Allowance (ESA). Disability Student's Allowance (DSA) or DID card (UK Disabled ID Card)
- A valid Blue Badge.
- In the case of visual impairment, a registration card known as the BD8 or a Certificate of Visual Impairment (CVI).
- Credibility’s Access Card with the Essential Companion/companion symbol
All areas of the Alton Towers theme park are accessible to wheelchair users.
Wheelchairs are available for hire on a first-come, first-served basis.
Wheelchair accessible restrooms are available through the resort.

Please be advised, the Alton Towers Dungeon will lower the portcullis and close its gates from July 3rd 2024 as they prepare to deliver a spooktacularly new experience for Scarefest.
Baby Facilities:
Pushchairs are available for hire.
All toilets include a baby changing area. Private changing and feeding rooms are also available.
High chairs, baby food and microwaves are available in various cafes and restaurants in the theme park.
Other facilities:
There are cafes, snack bars, restaurants, shops and plenty of picnic areas throughout the theme park.
Additional services include locker hire, cash machines and on-site medical services.
Booking and Ticket Information:
You will receive an email containing your gate ready e-Tickets within a few minutes of making your booking.
Picniq accepts Maestro, Visa, Mastercard and AMEX as methods of payment, alongside Apple Pay. There is no credit card charge or booking fee.
Subject to consent from the attraction it is possible to amend or cancel tickets before the intended visit date.
Any amendments to dates / times where possible will incur a £10 admin fee , however any increase in ticket prices will be charged. A new visit date/time must be selected within 3 months of the original visit date and cannot cross into a new season (for example from an attraction's designated Summer season into Christmas)
An admin fee of £10 is charged for cancellations where they are possible.
Tickets may not be altered / cancelled on or after the intended visit date and 100% cancellation fees apply.

Alton Towers Resort is located between the M1 and the M6 and is well signposted from both motorways. Depending on your direction, the nearest motorway exits are: M1 Northbound - Junction 23a; M1 Southbound - Junction 28; M6 Northbound - Junction 15; M6 Southbound - Junction 16"
Alton Towers Resort is open from March to November .
From November the Festive Season starts and therefore the attractions on offer differ from those during the main season, but offer plenty of festive fun!
Gates open at 10am and close at either 4pm, 5pm or 6pm depending on the season. Closing times may vary at weekends.
