Africa Alive! is set in 100 acres of stunning Suffolk countryside and is the perfect day out for the whole family.
The spectacular centerpiece of this beautiful park is the 'Plains of Africa', a perfect place to spot five species of African savannah animals, including graceful giraffes and heavyweight rhinos.
Enjoy a close-up view of the magnificent lions from the 'Lookout Lodge' viewing point. The park is also home to some other amazing primates including, king colobus monkeys, drill and numerous species of Lemurs.
Bird lovers can also enjoy spotting native nature from the new 'Wader's Lake' boardwalk or seeing some African feathered friends in our Woodland Walk!
Hot and cold drinks food and snacks are available during your visit at one of the many pitstops; The Jungle Juice Bar, The Keepers Hut, The Giraffe Hut, Bongo Bites or Limpopa. Car Parking is free. The gift shop has hundreds of souvenirs and gifts for all ages.
Small children love the park, but it can be a long walk for their little legs! Single and double strollers are available for hire (£10) at the main entrance. Strollers are available for children age 1-6 years.

General Information
- All children under 16 years of age are required to be always accompanied by a responsible adult
- Africa Alive! is a no smoking zoo, including those using electronic cigarettes or vaping, please use the designated smoking areas as highlighted on the zoo map
- The following displays and attractions will remain closed until further notice: Lemur Encounters, The Wild Zone, Safari Roadtrain
- Guests can return to their car during their visit, they just need to show a receipt or booking reference to staff at admissions
- Yes, you are welcome to bring your own picnic to Africa Alive and we have lots of outdoor seating areas around the Zoo for picnic use
- The attraction is cashless, please ensure you have your bank card with you
- Car parking is free
- Face coverings need to be worn in any indoor areas.
- Single and double strollers are available for hire (£10) at the main entrance. Strollers are available for children age 1-6 years
- Mobility Scooters are available to hire (£10), manual wheelchairs are also available for loan (credit card required for deposit). Please call the park before arrival to ensure availability
- Wi-Fi is available in the park
Booking and Ticket Information
- When you buy online you will receive an email containing your ticket. Please print your ticket and present it at the Africa Alive on the day of your visit. Alternatively, you can show your ticket on your smartphone or tablet.
- You should enter the park within 30 minutes of your booked slot.
- Tickets are available to purchase online up to 11.45pm for the next day.
- Picniq accepts all debit cards, Maestro, Visa and Mastercard as methods of payment. There is no credit card charge or booking fee.
- Online bookings are limited to a maximum of 12 visitors.
- Tickets purchased through Picniq are not refundable. The date of the visit can be amended for a fee of £10 per booking. Terms and conditions apply.

Africa Alive! is signposted off the A146 and A12 - Follow the brown tourist signs
Bus:
First Eastern Counties 99 service to Kessingland is available from Lowestoft. There is a 5-minute walk from the bus station to the zoo entrance.
Anglian Bus's 7, 61 and 61A services visit Kessingland every 20 minutes on their routes to and from Southwold, Lowestoft, Great Yarmouth and Norwich. There is a 5-minute walk from the bus stop to the zoo entrance.
Boarder Bus's 146 service visits Kessingland from Lowestoft and Norwich. There is a 10-minute walk from the bus stop to the zoo entrance.
