How do I book tickets?
Bookings are made on our website. Our website is user friendly and if there’s anything you're unsure of please do email our Customer Service Team on [email protected] or call us on 01202830838 and a member of the team will be happy to help!
When you book tickets you will be asked to choose your visit date, however, if later on you find that you are unable to visit on your selected date, your ticket will still be valid on other dates during the year that your ticket is valid for. For example, if you have purchased a 2018 multi day ticket, it will be valid for any consecutive 14 day period that starts in 2018. (This means you could start your 14 days on 31st Dec 2018).
Can I book tickets over the phone?
All bookings must be made online using our website. Our system is quick and easy to use, however, should you have any questions you would like answered before or after you have booked then our Customer Service Team are always happy to help and can be contacted via email on [email protected] or by phone on .
How long will it take for my tickets to arrive?
You will receive a confirmation email shortly after making a successful payment which will confirm your booking. Gate ready tickets will be sent to you, via recorded postal service within 7 working days of making your booking.
Are tickets gate ready?
The tickets you receive through the post will be ready to use at the Universal Orlando Resort™ entry gates.
What is the time latest I can book?
Your booking needs to be made at least 10 days before the intended visit as tickets are sent by post and may take up to 7 days to reach you. We recommend that you book your tickets as early as possible in order to give yourself time to plan your visit.
When is the best time to visit Universal Orlando Resort™?
Everyday! With so many amazing attractions to choose from, any time is a great time! If you would prefer to visit when there are less guests at the parks then we recommend going during school‐term time.
What are the opening times of the parks?
Normal park hours are subject to change depending on the season.
Universal Studios Florida™ and Universal’s Island of Adventure™ are open at 9am, although closing times vary. Universal’s Volcano Bay opens at 10am and closing times vary. Universal CityWalk™ opens at 11am and closes at 2am.
How long are my tickets valid for?
Tickets are valid for 14 consecutive days from the date of first use and will expire after 14 days even if you have not visited the parks on each day.
Do you charge for credit card payments and are my card details retained by Picniq?
No! We don’t charge a booking fee or a credit card fee :)
We do not store any card details after payment/transactions have been made. All payments are made through our secure WorldPay system.
Do I have to take kids with me to visit Universal Orlando Resort™?
Picniq welcomes all bookings, no kids required! ;) and Universal Orlando Resort™welcomes guests of all ages!
I haven’t received my confirmation email, what should I do?
Please contact Picniq via email on [email protected] or telephone on 01202830838 and we will resend your confirmation email for you. Tickets are sent in a separate email 24‐48 hours after payments have been made. Picniq cannot be held responsible if an email address is entered incorrectly at the time of making a booking.
I’ve noticed some errors on my confirmation email, what shall I do?
If you notice any errors such as the wrong visit date or mis‐spelt names on your Picniq booking confirmation email you MUST contact us within one hour to amend this.
Can I get a refund for my tickets?
Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferrable. However, your tickets are valid for use in the year selected. For example 2021 tickets are valid for 14 days from first use (between Jan 2021 - Dec 2021) providing you flexibility for your visit.
What should I do if I need to add another ticket to my booking?
We are unable to amend bookings once payment has been made. Therefore, we suggest that you go to the Picniq Tickets website and make another booking. You will then need to take the tickets from both bookings along with you.
What should I do if my transport is cancelled?
Picniq and Universal Orlando Resort™cannot be held responsible for cancelled travel. You will be able to use your tickets on another day. Alternatively, we recommend you contact your travel insurance provider to claim compensation.
What should I do if someone in my party is ill?
This person will be able to use their ticket on another time within 2018. Alternatively, we recommend you contact your travel insurance provider to claim compensation for the person who is unable to travel.
What happens if I lose my tickets?
Picniq cannot take responsibility for lost tickets, however, we will always try to assist. As soon as you realise that you have misplaced your tickets please email [email protected] or call the office on 01202830838 and a member of the Customer Service Team will be happy to help. Please note that you may get a slower response outside of office hours.
I haven’t received my tickets, what should I do?
Tickets are sent by a recorded postal delivery service. Should you not receive your tickets please contact Picniq via email on [email protected] or telephone on 01202830838 and we will help you. We cannot take any responsibility if a postal address is entered incorrectly at the time of making your booking.
How do I find out how many days I have left on my tickets?
You can find this information out by visiting the Guest Relations desks at Universal Orlando Resort™. Tickets are valid for 14 consecutive days from first use.
How do I contact Picniq?

How many parks are included in my tickets?
The 3 park ticket includes access to Universal Studios Florida™, Universal’s Island of Adventure™ and Universal’s Volcano Bay™.
What should I wear when I visit the parks?
It is suggested that you wear comfortable clothing and good walking shoes to the parks. Please ensure you check the weather forecast before you visit to ensure you are prepared, at certain times of the year a poncho/ waterproof may come in very useful! The parks are family friendly so in that spirit, please ensure you use your discretion and common sense when you dress.
Will any attractions that be shut during my visit?
Due to the parks being open year round, at certain times attractions mayl have to be shut for maintenance. It is requested that you view the interactive park hours calendar before your visit to see which attractions are scheduled for refurbishment.
Are there baby changing/nursing facilities available?
Baby changing facilities are available in all parks and there are also nursing/ feeding quiet areas available at the First Aid Station on the right hand side of the Lost And Found in Universal Studios Florida™, at the Health Services main station, located on Canal Street in the New York area, in the First Aid Station at Universal's Islands of Adventure™, and in the First Aid Station at Universal's Volcano Bay.
Are there attractions available for younger children?
There are plenty of attractions available for all ages in the family, including the Hogwarts Express, ET Adventure, Flight of the Hippogriff and many many more!
What is child swap?
If your child is too small or doesn’t want to to go on a particular ride, then you can use ‘child swap’ to ensure the rest of the family get to ride! Each attraction has a family room where a member of your party can wait with the little ones while the rest of the party enjoys the ride. Once they are finished, switch places so that whoever rode remains with the children and the other adult/s get a turn!
Can I hire a buggy/pushchair?
Single and double pushchairs are available to hire at both Single or double Universal Studios Florida™ and Universal's Islands of Adventure™. They are not available to hire at Universal's Volcano Bay™. You are allowed to bring your own stroller if you find it more convenient.
Can I take my own food and drink into the parks?
Guests are permitted to take water and food items that do not require heating, such as small snacks and non-perishables into the parks.
Are there restaurants located within the Universal Orlando Resort™?
Yes. From sit down dining to snacks and fast-food there is something for everyone.
Can my children have a meal with a Character?
Yes! :) Characters are always happy to share a meal with guests at special dining events such as Universal’s Superstar Character Breakfast, where you can meet some Minions, Dora, Spongebob and more! These experiences need to be booked directly with Universal Orlando Resort™and it is strongly recommended that you book in advance.
Can I use my own wheelchair in the parks?
Yes you can, almost all ride queues are accessible to wheelchair users, although there are specific ride boarding requirements depending on if you are able to transfer to a ride independently or need assistance.
Shopping and Dining venues are also wheelchair accessible.
Can I rent a wheelchair at Universal Orlando Resort™?
Yes, wheelchairs and mobility scooters (ECV ‐ Electric Conveyance Vehicles) are available for rental.
Are the Walt Disney World® theme parks equipped for guests with disabilities?
Yes, there are assistive listening systems, sign language interpretation, braille guidebooks, digital audio tours and much more available to support the enjoyment of guests of every, ability.
If I am pregnant, can I still experience all of the attractions that the parks have to offer?
There are many attractions and shows that expectant mothers may not be able to experience, for their own safety. It is suggested that expecting mothers consult the health and safety signage outside each attraction.
I have just married and my passport is still in my maiden name, is this going to be a problem?
No, this is not a problem. You can still travel to the United States on a passport showing your maiden name as long as your name on your passport and your ticket match exactly. The USA will not accept a marriage certificate with your passport in your maiden name while your ticket is in your married name.
I hold a UK passport, do I need a visa to visit the USA?

Why do I need a visa?
There are various reasons why one may need a visa. A Visa is a document issued by an Embassy or consulate which entitles the holder to travel; and permits entry for a specific purpose (tourism, business, studies, etc.) for a specific amount of time. Please click here.
My passport will expire soon, do I need a new one before I get my visa?
Yes. Your passport and your visa both need to be in date. If you have a valid visa from previous travel but your passport is due to expire, you will need to apply for a new passport and then a new visa.
What is API?
API is Advanced Passenger information about passengers and this is required by the USD government prior to travel. It is advised that you supply this information before your reach the airport. The full list of required information consists of:
- Full name (First, Last and Middle names where applicable)
- Gender
- Date of Birth
- Nationality
- Country of residence
- Travel document type - usually passport (with Visa where necessary)
- Travel document number, expiry date and country of issue
- Address of first night spent in the USA
